Well when I did the wood I wasn’t sure on how to do it that small so I tried a few ways tell I got it to look the way I wanted it to look.
In the end what I did was.....
#1 paint the dash tan
#2 then paint the wood part light brown (not letting it dry all the way between steps was a BIG Key in making it work)
#3 I dipped my brush in Dark brown paint (I almost did a dry brushing but with a twist)
#4What I did was dry the paint out of the brush like I was going to dry brush it then I
dipped the brush in lacquer thinner
#5 use the thinned out dark brown paint (but it still needs to have some thick dark brown paint in the brush that’s what makes it work) and make your wood affect By using the thinner you will cut though the Light Brown in places to the Tan but at the same time you will be putting down Dark Brown that’s how I got it to look that way Hope this helps and good luck
